Herbert Kearney was a painter, poet, sculptor and visionary .Originally from Ireland he had lived in the USA for decades. He started his American journey in New York, living a Bohemian lifestyle with other artists and poets at the Chelsea Hotel. He also lived in San Fransisco and eventually found his creative home in New Orleans. Herbie has shown his work internationally.

Herbie died on the 28th April 2021 aged 58.

This photographic series were taken in his studio/ living space in the Marigny, New Orleans in 2013 before the building became gentrified.
